I have yet to venture past the long lines for fuel at a COSTCO in Florida. After waiting for 20 minutes and finally getting up to the pump, I realized I could only fill up by first swiping the club's gateway card. Well that was it, I didn't have one, so off I went, away from the megastore and their reduced gas prices. Maybe I will try a membership, and then i would save the disappointment of being turned away . Thanks for the tips Steve!

For everything related to this sort of thing, COSTCO is your friend. They have some really great and sturdy canopies from time to time, and just about everything else a small business needs, at a great price. Huge selection.

People in the photo and film industry swear by those two-sided canvas beanbags with a handle, that they use to hold down everything. They come in all sizes and weights, and are available at any pro photo shop, such as Gassers in SF.

Lastly, Alameda, especially, but SF-Oakland-Berkeley, as well, usually follow this weather pattern in the summer: foggy/cold and perhaps also wet in the morning (although wet is not very common except this year), this shifts to very warm to extremely warm from around noon through 3 or 4, going back to cold and wet in the evening.

The rule, when dressing for these cities is always: dress in layers!!! Always expect that any given day could be both cold AND hot, regardless of what the weather seems at that moment.
